Welcome to the “Capricorn Reinvention Tour”! 2018 promises to be one of the most life-changing years you’ve experienced in decades, and 2019-2020 usher in even bigger changes. It would be an understatement to suggest that your life will be altered between now and the end of 2020. Honey, it’s going to be completely transformed. Hope you’re well -rested and taking your vitamins, because this tour is going to demand a lot from you.
Whats the reason for all of this buzz? For one, the entrance of your ruler, Saturn, into Capricorn in December 2017. Any time a planet is in the house it rules, all is well in the cosmos. Saturn will remain here for three years. As the wise disciplinarian of the solar system, Saturn knows that we don’t truly appreciate anything of value if it’s handed to us on a plate. Therefore, the ringed planet will put you to work in whatever house it happens to be in. And in your case, this is your first house: the sector that governs every aspect of our lives, from our dreams to self-esteem to appearance to money to romance.
You can revamp any area of your choosing, rebuilding from the ground up if need be. Your dreams and desires will be the focus as you won’t be willing to play along with others’ agendas. And why should you? Saturn visits your sign once every 29 years, so now is your time to shine.
But don’t think because you have three years that you can hang out until, oh, June to get going. The time to strike is now. Not only is Saturn in Capricorn at the top of the month, so are the Sun, Venus and Pluto. Mercury will arrive on the 11th and there will be a new moon here on the 16th. It’s not often that so many planets occupy Capricorn all at once, which makes this month the perfect time to launch the reinvention extravaganza. Spend the first two weeks of January planning and researching, then dive in with the new moon’s energy on the 16th. Between now and July you can make enormous headway in any part of your life.
Independence is one of your many attributes, but this year you won’t be working in a vacuum. Abundant Jupiter is in your house of friends and networking for the first time in over a decade and will spend most of 2018 there. You worked hard in 2017, sea goat; now it’s time to do some socializing and make new friends. Sure, you can network for business reasons (and you probably will), but it’s important to carve out time for yourself and your tribe. Besides, people are going to be interested in what you’re up to and how you think—why keep all of that wealth to yourself?
For the first four months of the year you may be a little standoffish, though, when it comes to romance. Singles may hold back from dating. Coupled up Caps may crave more independence. In part this is due to Jupiter, but also a result of the full moon in Cancer on the 1st. It falls in your commitment sector, and it could be a turning point when it comes to romantic or business relationships.
The job of a full moon is to close out things that aren’t working for us so that we can move on. So if you’re in a union that isn’t satisfying, you might decide to part company. Singles could be so busy planning world domination to even notice that someone is interested in them! However, full moons also bring happy situations to a successful conclusion, so this lunation might bring an engagement or the opportunity to meet a keeper.
Don’t think that this phase will last though. In mid-May, spontaneous Uranus leaves Aries and enters Taurus for the first time in 80 years. This is MAJOR astrological news, and considering that Taurus is your fifth house of love, you are in for one heck of a rollicking romantic ride over the following seven years!
Uranus is the rebel of the solar system, the maverick. It’s unconventional, loves to break the rules and is sheer genius. Think crazy scientist and you have the right idea! But it’s not going into your house of science: it’s entering your house of amour. Let’s put it this way—you’re going to be open to all sorts of romantic adventures with different types of people. This is quite a difference from your usual staid, traditional attitude toward love, but so it is! The bottom line is that you can have one hell of a good time in love once Uranus enters Taurus, so keep that in mind during the first four (quieter) months of 2018.
This sector also governs creativity, so your talents and skills will skyrocket as of mid-May. If you’re already talented and no one has really noticed, that’s going to change. Remember, Jupiter will be placing a lot of new people in your path this year. Jupiter happens to be in the house that governs technology, so any Capricorn who is in the digital space already (or wants to be) can absolutely crush it this year.
There will be four eclipses this year in money houses which will radically change your relationship with the green stuff. In astrology there are two houses that deal with dinero: the second, which is all about the money we earn as income and how we spend and save it, and the eighth, which is more about investing and developing net worth.
There will be two eclipses in each house, the first one occurring on January 31st in the net worth area. This is a game changer as eclipses are known for rapidly dumping the past and ushering in new circumstances. As a result you could suddenly decide to start a business or create an invention to patent. Someone might approach you about entering into a joint venture. Real estate investing may become important to you, or becoming savvier about mutual funds.
You’re in an awesome position to become wealthier over the next three years. It won’t happen overnight, and there will be no luck involved. Saturn demands hard work and discipline. But you know the saying: “the harder I work, the ‘luckier’ I get.”« This Week’s Horoscope Today’s Horoscope »
