Decisions, decisions! As May begins you could be up in the air about many issues. After all, back in April Pluto went retrograde in Capricorn, your twelfth house of closure and moving on to new situations. Pluto is the planet that allows us to access our personal power. When it retrogrades, especially in the twelfth house, your subconscious mind is highly activated.
As a result you might realize that you need to do some inner work, especially if you’re not feeling in control. If people are taking advantage of you at the office, within your family or personal relationships, this month is going to be a big wake-up call. Old childhood roles and memories could come back, especially on May 3rd and 8th. Face it, you’re not a kid anymore and you don’t have to play the role that your family is expecting of you.
On a positive note, the planets have your back and things start to lighten up early in the month! On the 3rd lively, chatty Mercury glides into your fifth house of romance and having fun. Amorous Venus does the same on the 8th.
On the 11th a new moon occurs in your domestic sector. If you’re looking for a new place to live or want to decorate, this lunation opens up a wonderful six month chapter in which you can make a lot of progress. Getting back together with your family after Covid isolation is also possible.
The new moon also helps your love life, as it can bring you closer to a lover. Literally… as in moving in together. Some Aquarius folks will get engaged at the time of the new moon, whereas others could conceive a baby and start their own family.
That said, you have to keep a close eye on romantic matters once the 20th arrives. That’s when the Sun glides into Gemini, your fifth house of romance. Mercury and Venus are already there at that point. Some difficult aspects arrive shortly thereafter.
I’m referring to the 21st and the 22nd, which will be difficult days for all signs of the zodiac. In your case, Aquarius, there could be emotional and financial issues with a lover. For instance, you could be arguing about how money is being saved or spent. And despite the warm and fuzzy feeling created by the new moon earlier in the month, someone may be unwilling to commit right now.
Then on the 23rd, Saturn begins to retrograde in your sign, making you second-guess all of your big plans. This is a major aspect, Aquarius. Saturn entered your sign earlier this year for the first time in over 26 years. It will be here until late 2022. Its job is to bring you success and contentment in all areas of your life, but when it retrogrades, it’s time to slow down and do an honest review about how things are going.
Then on the 29th, Mercury begins to retrograde in your sign! Holy moly, you have a lot of thinking to do. It’s fair to say that May is going to be one of the most thoughtful months you will experience in 2021.
Oh, and there’s a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on May 26! Sagittarius is your eleventh house of friends, acquaintances and group activities. A group effort could come together quite nicely around the time of the eclipse, or within the month that follows it.
However, some tense energy surrounds this lunation, indicating that a team effort could also go off the rails. Those good old “creative differences” might get in the way (LOL).
The eclipse could make you feel quite independent. You’ll be questioning whom you associate with. Quite frankly, if a friendship or club has become too much of a problem, chances are you’ll walk away from it. On the flip side, you could meet some fabulous new people over the next few months, including a lover.
Your career gets a big boost when Jupiter enters Pisces on the 13th. Jupiter is the planet of luck and abundance, and Pisces is your second house of earning and saving more money. Take advantage of this aspect, my friend. Jupiter is only going to be here for ten weeks, retrograding back into Aquarius at the end of July. So if you’re looking for a career change, raise or to start a business, now is the time to start.« This Week’s Horoscope Today’s Horoscope »
