Yippee kiyay—Saturn and Jupiter finally go direct in Aquarius this month! This will ease up logjams that have been occurring in your life. Pluto goes direct in Capricorn, which is going to help you feel more at ease with yourself. A cluster of planets is in your house of visionary thinking as October begins, and there’s a full moon later in the month in your house of socializing. The overall mood is one of coming out of the dark woods and into the beautiful sunshine!
Saturn and Jupiter go direct
Earlier in 2021, Saturn and Jupiter strolled into Aquarius, arm in arm. This was a big astrological news, as Jupiter hadn’t been in your sign in 13 years, and Saturn in 26 years. Considering that Jupiter is all about abundance and Saturn loves to bring long-term success your way, these orbs were poised to help you out in a big way. But then a few months ago they went retrograde, stalling important plans that you were dreaming up.
Saturn goes direct on the 10th, followed by Jupiter on the 18th. It just so happens that Mercury goes direct on the 18th as well, so by the time the 20th rolls around, you should feel a lot more wind beneath your wings.
Chances are you’ve been doing a lot of thinking over the past few months about the direction you’re heading in. That’s because detective-like Pluto was retrograding through Capricorn, the house of your subconscious mind. Pluto probably pointed out relationships, jobs and other situations that aren’t the best for you. Well Aquarius, Pluto goes direct on the 6th, so it’s time to chuck the past and move on.
Go from the dream-up stage to the “doing” stage
As October begins the Sun, Mars and Mercury are all clustered in Libra. This is your ninth house of visionary thinking, the place where you decide to bust out of restrictive circumstances and take some chances, whether they’re big or small. What has been hampering you for the past few months is the fact that Saturn and Jupiter were retrograde in Aquarius, but that chapter is coming to a close.
So as the month begins, you should be thinking long and hard about how you can start heading down a new path. The new moon in Libra occurs on Wednesday the 6th, the same day that Pluto goes direct.
It’s interesting that a new moon occurs in your house of visionary thinking the same day that Pluto goes direct in the house of your subconscious mind. This means that it’s time to stop pondering and dreaming, and to start doing.
The Sun, Mercury and Mars
Mercury happens to be retrograde in Libra up until the 18th, which means that you should not dive into any new venture without giving it some thought first.
But once the Sun enters Scorpio on the 23rd, Mercury will be direct at that point. Scorpio is your tenth house of ambition and success. Whereas the first three weeks of October are well-suited for dreaming up all sorts of interesting new situations for yourself, once the 23rd rolls around, you can start taking concrete action toward achieving them.
What is super important to note is that Mars, the planet of motivation, enters Scorpio for the first time in two years on the 30th. Aquarius, this month is seriously the best time in several years to get out of a rut and move on. Good news after long months of Covid lockdown, right?
