As May begins, planets are cruising through Taurus, the most structured part of your chart. You are craving order and rituals. Scoring more money is also on your mind. So is enjoying peaceful relationships.
On May 3rd, Mercury enters chatty Gemini, opening up the lines of communication with others. If you need to have a word with someone, or want to get a message out to the world, do it before the 29th. That’s when Mercury stations retrograde.
That’s right, you’re the lucky winner (LOL) of the Mercury retrograde lotto!
Otherwise May is a fabulous month for expressing yourself. This is great energy for students and teachers, lecturers and sales people. It’s also positive for journalists, bloggers and artists.
Despite this positive energy, don’t expect overnight results. Pluto is currently retrograde in Capricorn, the house of goals and success. Decision makers may be indecisive and/or unavailable over the next two months. People may be changing positions or departments. You might change your mind about big goals too, because Pluto governs your personal power.
What’s interesting is that you may be thinking bigger and bolder than usual. The end of the month month brings a full moon/lunar eclipse in Sagittarius, your house of taking risks. This lunation is a game changer, as it is designed to push you out of your comfort zone and into unchartered waters.
Mind you, the energy of an eclipse can start a month beforehand or up to a month later. It’s possible that in late April you started reconsidering your career and other big life plans, or you will do this in June.
Entrepreneurship is strongly favored right now, and with Pluto retrograde in your house of authority figures, you may be totally done with taking marching orders from other people. Just steer clear of going into business with friends, as Saturn starts to retrograde in this part of your chart on the 23rd. Keep personal information to yourself on the 21st and 22nd, when the trolls and dream stealers will be out in force.
You might also start reconsidering some of your friendships, or groups that you’re involved in. Perhaps you’ve been spreading yourself too thin with “extracurricular activities”. If that’s the case, then you may need to step away from them, if just for a few months.
Besides, Jupiter enters Pisces on the 13th, your house of doing things on your own. This is where you go to rest and recharge your batteries. This is a rather unusual situation, because Jupiter just entered Aquarius recently for the first time in 13 years. It pops into Pisces for a very short stay on the 13th, and then will retrograde back into Aquarius. So over the next two months you should work quietly and independently, only letting people know things on as as-needed basis.
With so much planetary activity in Gemini this month, try to get out of town (if allowed in your area). Gemini is your house of short distance travel, so if you can afford to get away, then do so.
Gemini energy is also wonderful for romance, because it’s light and flirty. You have an interesting contrast going on in May when it comes to love. Part of you wants to play it safe, due to Mars cruising through homey Cancer. Yet another part of you wants to take a chance, thanks to that lunar eclipse coming at the end of the month.
If you’re involved in a good relationship, you and a lover could make some big plans around full moon time. You could decide to go ex-pat and move out of the country, for instance, or start a business together. Maybe you’ll sell your house and move to a different part of the country.
If you’re unhappy in love, the full moon could be a powerful turning point. After all, it’s an eclipse and they really bring things to a boiling point. The good news is that this lunar eclipse is designed to get you out of a situation that has reached its sell-by date and to move on to something much more exciting. Keep that in mind.
