In the mood for love and socializing? If that’s the case, Virgo, you’ll enjoy the month of July! June was a bit of a tightrope walk, but the planets are easing up. Clear your calendar, because things are going to get busy. At the top of the month, Venus, the Sun, and Mercury are all parked in your eleventh house of camaraderie. For two solid weeks they send shimmering beams to other planets in the solar system, putting you in the midst of potential new lovers, pals, and employers. To top it off there’s a 4th of July celebration in the heavens, the new moon in Cancer. It’s a happy lunation, bookended by positive days before and after.
The reason this is so upbeat is that all of this action falls in your eleventh house, which not only governs your friendships but also your fondest hopes and wishes. This is the “think big” sector where we let our daydreams take us to places that can become real. The first week of the month allows you to focus on what’s important to you in love and family matters, as the Sun and Venus are holding productive meetings with planets in these areas. Sunday the 3rd brings a luscious trine between romantic Neptune in your commitment sector and the Sun, indicating that a cherished romantic dream could be fulfilled.
The new moon on the 4th is excellent for hanging out with the family and your tribe, which won’t be difficult in the US as this is the 4th of July holiday! But new moons also open up positive six-month cycles in which we can initiate changes, so consider what you’d like to see happen in love and your domestic life between now and the end of the year. It could be a residential move, having a baby, meeting someone new, or redecorating your home.
From a business perspective the new moon rocks for creating or joining a team effort. If you’re used to working solo you may want to reconsider. Even if you continue to work that way, July and the five months that follow are excellent for attending trade shows, industry events, seminars and workshops. In addition, anything that involves technology is well aspected right now, such as launching a blog, online store, or a social media blitz.
But watch what you say, write or type on the 7th, the only tough day in the fabulous month of July. It’s a tense day for romance, when words could be misconstrued or you and a love simply can’t agree. This is not the day to rant or troll online, nor to trash your boss or coworkers via email. You never know where it may end up. People may be defensive as well, so making progress may feel impossible. This passes very quickly, within days in fact, so my advice is to lay low on the the 7th. Take a one-day vow of silence! Hey, if nuns can do it…..
By mid month, Venus and Mercury silently glide into your secretive and nurturing twelfth house. You may feel like spending a spa day with the girls instead of dancing on tabletops, but the social vibe is still there! The full moon in Capricorn on the 19th is custom-made for romance, as it falls in your house of love, fun and children. Dating Virgos may get engaged or decide to move in together. Singles could meet a new love, and coupled Virgos could be planning some kind of positive domestic change, such as moving to a new place or buying a second home.
There is an air of confidentiality at play at the time of the full moon, so you may not be interested in sharing your news with everyone. For example, you and a partner may decide to keep your pregnancy a secret for a little while, or your plans to relocate to another state. This hush-hush vibe intensifies as the Sun moves into Leo on the 22nd.
You’ll do your best work behind closed doors, such as looking for a new job, writing that manuscript or planning a business launch. Work hard and remain focused, because once the Sun enters Virgo it’s showtime! Just be wary of moody outbursts, jealousy or intense emotions after the 29th when Uranus goes retrograde. It’s one thing to remove yourself from the madding crowd in order to nurture yourself, another to start becoming morose. Talkative Mercury enters Virgo on the 30th, so if you need to get things off your chest, do so.
