Cha-ching! This is a big month for money matters. There are fabulous aspects for making and saving more, but also some dicier days when you’re going to have to tiptoe around others or fight hard to protect your assets. The month kicks off with a new moon in your income sector on the 1st. This is the cosmos’s annual gift to you, the chance to start fresh when it comes to increasing your salary or company’s revenues. Initiatives that you start now may bear fruit within the next six months, so don’t delay.
An inspiring trine between Venus and Neptune the same day suggests that forming a partnership with someone else may be one of the best ways to earn more. Neptune is a highly inspirational planet, so your talent and skills can skyrocket if you set aside time to develop them. Today is a good day to start dialogues, and that includes talking to people whom you could retain to help further your career. This includes literary agents, booking agents, attorneys, social media experts, public relations people and stylists.
There is one big caveat here: creatives and artists must protect their future earnings, whether it comes in the form of licensing fees, royalties, commissions, book advances and so on. Someone in a position of power may try to convince you to sell your work for less—don’t go there! This energy continues on as the month progresses, so maintain your high standards.
The new moon on the 1st also rocks for romance, as it occurs in your house of security, both financial and emotional. With Venus and Neptune so prominent you could take a dating relationship to the marriage level. Already attached Virgos should use this helpful lunation to hunker down and develop a budget for expenses, savings and investments. However, just as the artists need to be alert, so do you. Singles, don’t fall in love with a charming but broke amour unless you’re interested in supporting them!
Committed Virgos could find that their lover puts up resistance to your smart ideas about saving. Perhaps you feel that your stay-at-home partner needs to go back to work, for example, and they don’t want to. Get ready for battle.
Here are the days to watch if you’re an artist or dealing with a romantic partner who’s not on the same page as you: the 6th, 7th, 13th, 15th (ouch!), 20th and 29th. You’re going to have to stand firm. By the way, expenses involving children are also under this umbrella, so don’t give in to demands for $300 sneakers and the latest electronic gadgets.
That being said, there are terrific days for enjoying the people you love: the 4th, 5th, 11th (yum!), 19th, 26th and the 30th. The 30th brings yet another new moon (yes, there are two in October) and this one happens to fall in your third house of communication. Luscious Venus, planet of love, is very close to the Moon, adding a sweet dose of romance to the proceedings. Chatty Mercury forms a trine, the most harmonious aspect possible, with amorous Neptune the same day, making this new moon one of the most romantic for you all year.
I have to be honest, there could still be issues about money at this new moon as a tense square occurs the day before. If either of you is using money as a “weapon”, or sex for that matter, things may reach a full boil on the 29th.
More financial talks can ensue at the time of the full moon in Aries on the 16th. It occurs in your eighth house of financial investments, and this lunation can go in a number of different directions. On the positive side, a windfall could come your way, such as winning a raffle or scoring a big commission. A legal matter that involves a court award could finally wrap up, along with the sale of real estate or a stock.
However, two difficult aspects the day before could create friction. You may be tempted to engage in retail therapy or spend money that you shouldn’t on big ticket items. If you are in the process of investing a large sum of money, such as buying a house, purchasing stocks or mutual funds or entering into a joint business venture, you need to be mindful. Don’t let anyone push you into signing papers if you’re not ready.
Otherwise this can be quite a sexy full moon, as the eighth house also governs intimacy. Emotions will be running deep and you could find yourself being super attracted to someone! Full moons do bring things to closure, however, so if a relationship has run its course you may decide to part ways. The key is to not make snap decisions, whether it means splitting with someone or hopping into the sack with another as erratic Uranus is in a tough angle.
Once the Sun moves into Scorpio on the 22nd, followed by candid Mercury on the 24th, you will find that communicating with others will become a lot easier. You should also be in a far more social mindset than you were earlier in October, when your finances were front and center.
On the 30th a new moon takes place in your house of expression. It opens up a six-month window in which you can negotiate, self-promote, socialize, write, blog and let the world know what’s on your mind.
