Hurry up and wait! That’s the message from the cosmos this month, Virgo.
As the month begins, there’s a lot of activity in Taurus, your ninth house of thinking big and bold. Any time there’s planetary activity in this part of someone’s chart, the energy is there to break out away from the past and try new experiences.
It certainly doesn’t hurt that Uranus, the planet of genius ideas, happens to be here. So are Venus and Mercury. The Taurus new Moon on the 11th is the best time in 2021 to try something that pushes you past previous limits.
Things like entrepreneurship, foreign travel, going back to graduate school or trade school to learn new skills, writing a book or a screenplay, and getting media attention. If it makes you feel a little nervous—maybe even sick to your stomach—to try it, then it’s part of the ninth house!
It just so happens that high-octane Mars is cruising through your house of friends, colleagues and networking. You should have no problem whatsoever finding a “partner in crime”, someone to take part in your audacious adventures. So this is the “hurry up” part of the program.
However, the “wait” part arrives later in the month, at the time of the full moon/lunar eclipse on the 26th. This lunation occurs in Sagittarius, which is your house of home and family. As lunar eclipses wrap things up very rapidly, it may become obvious that you need to help out a family member or make a major housing decision. This could slow down some of your other plans.
Also, tension could crop up between you and loved ones, especially when it comes to your goals. As mentioned, you start the month strong, more than ready to take on new challenges.
Once the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th, you become even more focused to achieve things, because Gemini is your house of success. However, you may not have the support you’d like from loved ones from the 21st on. This isn’t fun but I’ve gotta tell you what I see in your chart.
The 21st and 22nd are going to be difficult days for all twelve signs, no doubt about it. In your case, Virgo, a lover could be flaky or critical, not willing to let you do your own thing. It’s also possible that a boss or system is dragging you down, and you want to bust loose.
Diplomacy and cooperation from everyone could start to creep in on the 23rd, when Saturn begins to retrograde in Aquarius. It’s doubtful that you’ll become a slacker—you have too much energy in your house of goal achievement. But over the next few months you could have moments when it’s just too damn difficult to stick to habits and get projects done.
Mercury begins to retrograde on the 29th, slowing down big goals even more. Virgo, do your best from May 1 through the 20th to get as much done as possible. You will have the drive to complete things and the planetary winds will be behind your back.
Once the 21st arrives, that’s when road blocks start to show up. This isn’t going to stop you from achieving what you want, though. You’re just going to need more patience, that’s all.
Overall, you can make a lot of progress in your career and with romance as well. Once the Sun enters Gemini on the 20th and the eclipse occurs on the 26th, you’re going to want a more traditional kind of relationship.
Playing the field or being involved with somebody who is already married it is not going to appeal to you. Nor is living with someone with absolutely no idea as to where things are heading. The eclipses and retrogrades are going to force these issues, which can actually help you figure out what direction you’re heading in.« This Week’s Horoscope Today’s Horoscope »
